 The basis of Ventham Consulting’s work is that it is:

Comprehensive
We will provide a concise and complete summary of all relevant information available, together with a Commentary and Assessment, to draw attention to facts particularly pertinent to the Client's request. We do not carry out “quick and dirty” research, which almost always misses critical information. The Report will highlight where there may be information gaps, or if enquiries have been curtailed to preserve anonymity, and how those gaps might be overcome.

Legal
The report can be forwarded , unredacted, by the Client to law officers or legal representatives, to assist criminal investigations or court proceedings. Our research is guaranteed to have been conducted legally.

Ethical
“Due diligence” is used to approve or refuse contracts, with the legal implications that carries. Research undertaken by Ventham Consulting is ethical, so the Client can be assured that information provided may be used without the prospect of any realistic challenge. Ventham Consulting will decline any request that is, or appears to be, unethical.

Confidential
From the start of our dealings with a Client we aim to ensure absolute confidentiality, and will lawfully oppose attempts to obtain details about our work or our clients. We have successfully opposed attempts by a leading law firm who sought to misuse data protection legislation (through a process known as "SLAPPs" - Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation) in order to obtain such details. In the course of this our stance was supported by the Information Commissioner's Office; we will continue to oppose attempts to breach our duty of confidentiality to our clients. We will meet a Client discreetly and ensure that communications are secure. We use a variety of approved, encrypted email systems and mobile phone apps.
